Iaido & Kendo Zekken
A Zekken (ゼッケン) is a piece of fabric on which the name, the number, and/or the logo of an athlete are indicated during a competition. It is also called a Nafuda (名札 - name plate). In Kendo, it is also called a "Tare-name" because the Zekken takes the form of a small bag with an elastic band at the top that is placed in the center of the Tare. In Iaido, the Zekken is a piece of fabric, that is fixed on the left side of the chest during competitions or demonstrations.
As professionals of embroidery services related to martial arts, we offer embroidered Zekken for both Iaido and Kendo. Our Iaido Zekken can be attached with magic tape as an option, which is very practical if you need several Zekken (different Dojo) or if you want to be able to take it off. For Kendo, we offer a double-sided Zekken which can be embroidered on both sides, which may be useful too if you practice in different Dojo or if you want a Western and a Japanese version for instance.
