The material for this feels great on my bokken, much preferable to something made of plastic.

Bought for my brother because he was fed up with his plastic tsuba (bad safeguarding), once in place doesn't move et offer a good protection. Nicelly done. Plus a gift in the package. Nice surprise!

I paired this leather Tsuba with the Deluxe Bokken, and when used for the first time in Kendo Bokuto Waza, it proved a correct decision. There was accidental contact between my tsuba and kakarite's hand. If the tsuba was a standard plastic one, it would have been painful or even drawn blood as the edges of the plastic tsuba is sharp. Thankfully, there was no injury due to the leather tsuba's rounded edges.

The leather tsuba you can really see the fine quality in it don't hesitate. It was definitely worth it for me.

I have gone through several plastic tsuba. It is always disconcerting to have a training weapon fail, even a relatively minor piece. The leather tsuba are much more durable, and I appreciate the one less thing to worry about.
